Nativity of Our Savior Catholic School

Greetings from Nativity second grade!  Our second grade class prepares students for success using Indiana Academic Standards and religious education guidelines.  The students continue their knowledge of language arts, math, science, social studies, and the fine arts, but they also prepare for their first reconciliation and first Eucharist, made in third grade. 

Second grade students learn to write in cursive, multiply and divide, create presentations and projects, use technology, and much more!  They receive sixth grade buddies, and learn how to further develop social skills.  They even get a glimpse at standardized testing, with the Terra Nova test they take during the state ISTEP+ testing window.  Second grade emphasizes reading and math development, and is instrumental in instilling a love of books!  For more information about second grade, please contact the office or our teacher at 2nd@nativitystars.info.
