Nativity of Our Savior Catholic School

Nativity of Our Savior Catholic school is an accredited, nonpublic, exemplary school.  We currently offer grades kindergarten through eight, plus junior kindergarten.  We provide excellent academic, social, spiritual, and emotional education for our students and their families.  Webelieve in family support of our students and we strongly encourage family participation in our school through our Home and School Association.

We offer junior kindergarten,full day kindergarten and a rigorous academic program to fully prepare students for high school and beyond.  We have high expectations for our students and their families, and encourage all to reach their full potentials.  Our students participate in a variety of activities during the school week, like art, gym, music, library, computers, and Mass!  Our students attend Mass one day a week and learn to grow in their love for Christ. Our students also participate in Catholic Youth Organization band beginning in grade four , and Catholic Youth Organization sports beginning in grade five. We are very proud of our past and present students, are excited about our future, and hope you will consider becoming a part of our family!

Nativity of Our Savior School welcomes all students who are open to a Christ-centered education.  We follow all state mandates and guidelines and are fully accredited by the Indiana Department of Education.  Our students do participate in state testing in the spring and Northwest Evaluation Association Measures of Academic Progress three times per year.

We admit students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.  We do not discriminate in administration of educational policies, admissions policies, loan programs, or other school-related programs.

We engage our students in learning by using many hands-on activities and presenting lessons both in and out of the classroom.  Above you'll find our kindergarten class "testing" gravity with stuffed animals.  Below you'll find our second graders working on dinosaur sculptures. 
    Reflection:

Teaching is like sculpting.  In the beginning of the year, the raw material awaits, fresh and malleable. By the end of the year, with polishing and skill, a few rare pieces will appear.
