Nativity of Our Savior Catholic School

Ready, set, camp!  Our fourth grade class has a lot of exciting learning activities to choose from!  Fourth grade follows the Indiana Academic Standards and embarks on a lot of hands-on learning!  These students are introduced to the wonders of Indiana through its history and environmental science.  The fourth grade spends a lot of time getting to know all about our state and the environment in which we live, as they prepare to camp out for three days at the Indiana Dunes National Park in the spring.

Our fourth grade also emphasizes economic knowledge with the creation of a movie theatre business for the school right in our own gym.  They develop life skills through learning to be leaders and workers while treating the rest of the school to a movie.  The classroom is always in motion with learning centers and emphasis on science and social studies.  They also become reading buddies to our kindergarten class.  This helps both levels learn the importance of reading and the importance of working together.  For more information about our fourth grade, please contact the office or our teacher at hwelsch@verizon.net.
